I have grown up with very simple curries in Kerala from my grand mom. My grandmom would cook up an array of dishes especially for lunch since she had all the time in the morning. After breakfast, she would put up her hair, wear her glasses and get into her kitchen. Her kitchen had just the basics. I have a mixer, she had a stone grinder, I have a stove, she had a wood firepit. What she had the best, was producing amazing and delicious dishes from her kitchen. So here’s a recipe that my grandmom would make for lunch or dinner. This is a simple vegetable curry which is amazing with either rice or mashed potatoes.
